Each item is thrown on the pottery wheel in 2 parts, then fired and glazed on the inside only so that you can see and feel the beautiful raw clay texture every time you use it. The natural clay is a gorgeous grey with tiny speckles, and finished with a matte white glaze on the interior. This design allows for water to be poured on the inside of the larger piece, with butter packed into the smaller side in order to keep your butter fresh on the bench and at a spreadable temperature.
